Search (and find) files with Windows7

The built-in search function of Windows7 is incredibly inefficient [1]. To compensate this huge fail, many utilities appeared, usually heavy and pricey.
I found one that is free, efficient and light: “Everything search engine” is to be found here.
About desktop search tools (something completely different of course), the most efficient I found so far is Exalead Desktop Search.
